Terms of Service & Sale
Bee the Light Art Studio — Operated by Samantha Alder, Watseka, Illinois
Effective date: October 28, 2026 · Contact: bee.the.light.art.studio@gmail.com
About these terms
These terms apply when you use beethelightartstudio.org or purchase artwork, prints, ceramics, custom artwork, or other products from Bee the Light Art Studio ("Studio," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
The Studio is operated by Samantha Alder as a sole proprietorship. If you have questions about an order or these terms, contact us at bee.the.light.art.studio@gmail.com.
Products, prices, and orders
We make and sell original paintings, acrylic pour paintings, fine art prints, ceramics, and other handmade items. We also accept custom commissions and offer workshops and classes.
Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and may change without notice. The price shown when we accept your order will apply, except where an obvious listing or pricing error occurs. Applicable taxes and shipping charges will be shown at checkout when available.
Your order is an offer to buy. We may accept, decline, or cancel an order—for example, if an item is unavailable, a listing contains a material error, payment is not authorized, or we reasonably suspect fraud. If we cancel an order after payment, we will refund the amount paid for the canceled order.
Handmade work and product images
Each handmade piece is unique. Actual items may vary slightly from photographs or descriptions, including in color, texture, shape, size, or finish. Colors may also look different depending on your screen and display settings. These ordinary variations are part of handmade work and are not, by themselves, defects.
Made-to-order items and commissions may require additional production time. Any estimated production or delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees, unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.
Final-sale policy and damaged items
Except where applicable law requires otherwise, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or provide refunds for changes of mind, ordering the wrong item, or differences in appearance that are consistent with the product description and handmade variations.
If an item arrives damaged, contact us at bee.the.light.art.studio@gmail.com within 7 calendar days of delivery. Include your order information and clear photographs of the item, packaging, and damage. After reviewing the issue, we may offer a repair or replacement at the Studio's discretion, subject to availability and applicable law. If a repair or replacement is unavailable or the law requires another remedy, we will provide the remedy required by law.
This policy does not limit any rights you may have that cannot legally be waived.
Shipping and delivery
Please provide a complete and accurate shipping address and review it before placing an order. You are responsible for additional costs caused by an incorrect or incomplete address, to the extent permitted by law. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed.
We arrange shipment using the delivery method shown at checkout. The Studio remains responsible for the order as required by applicable law; responsibility for the item passes to you upon delivery, except where applicable law provides otherwise. Contact us promptly if your order appears lost, is delivered to the wrong address, or arrives damaged.
Custom commissions
Custom or commissioned artwork is subject to separate commission terms agreed with the customer. Unless those terms or applicable law provide otherwise, a commission requires a 30% non-refundable deposit to begin work. Commission details—including the scope, price, estimated timeline, and any agreed revision process—should be confirmed in writing before work begins. Commission terms control if they conflict with these general sale terms.
Workshops and classes
Workshop and class registrations are subject to the booking terms and acknowledgment presented during checkout. Those terms may include payment, cancellation, participation, and safety requirements. Please review and complete the required acknowledgment before booking.
